Author Biography

Toni Haastrup

is a Lecturer in International Security at the University of Kent within its School of Politics and International Relations. She is also currently Deputy Director inKent’s Global Europe Centre. Her research explores the EU’s role as a security actor, especially Africa-EU relations and the African Peace and Security Architecture. Her current workexplores the gender dimensions of regional security governance and her unique expertise has enabled substantial interaction with policy practitioners in Africa and Europe.
