Abstract

Ali A. Mazrui est arrivé dans le monde de l'érudition dans les années 1960. C'était à l'époque où l'Afrique postcoloniale naissait, où le Tiers-Monde attirait une attention particulière de la part des superpuissances, et où la discipline des Relations internationales (RI) - et d'autres disciplines - s'attaquait sérieusement aux problèmes qui préoccupent le Tiers-Monde, y compris l'Afrique. . Mazrui a débattu de la question de la justice internationale par rapport à l'ordre international avec d'éminents universitaires comme Hedley Bull, qui était l'un des universitaires les plus connus en RI dans la seconde moitié du XXe siècle. En fait, Bull reconnaissait en Mazrui un redoutable adversaire intellectuel. Peu de temps après avoir publié son livre influent The Anarchical Society en 1977, Bull (1978 : 1390) a écrit.
