His work offers a long-standing focus on non-Western perspectives on (dis)order in the relationship between states and governments. His research interests include political theory, transnationalism and diaspora. Born in Guinea, Grovogui obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and until 2014 held a professorship at Johns Hopkins University.
