Author Biographies

Brahim El Morchid

Brahim Elmorchid is a Professor of Economics at Cadi Ayyad University of Marrakech. He is also a senior member of Research Group on Investment and Development Studies. He holds post graduate diploma and Doctorate degrees in Economics. His research focus on three main areas: Institutional Economics, Environmental Economics and Public Policy. An important part of his research is devoted to African and Arab economies.
He’s the author of numerous peer-reviewed publications. He was also coordinator or member of the research group in more than 20 research projects, notably on business climate in Morocco, water supply and sanitation, understanding reforms in Africa, use of social science research and air transport in the Arab world.
Professor Elmorchid has just been elected as a member of the executive committee of CODESRIA (Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa) in Dakar
