Résumé
En Afrique de l’Ouest, malgré les bouleversements de l’espace atlantique au XVe siècle, les mêmes populations, à partir de dynamiques séculaires, ont investi les mêmes terroirs pour établir une remarquable continuité de l’espace des communautés humaines. Depuis l’Adrar mauritanien jusqu’au cœur de la nébuleuse mandingue qui a traversé le Rio Grande, ces dynamiques allaient rejoindre l’espace Akan et les multiples excroissances Bantu au centre et au sud du continent.
